These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Expert Jurist LLP (LLPIN AAJ-5210), which owns and operates LexBlox Global Academy. Please read them with the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Policy, which form part of these Terms.
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
LexBlox Global Academy (“LexBlox”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Expert Jurist LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India, with its office at Office No. C216/218, 2nd Floor, Tower-8, International Technology Centre, CBD Belapur Station Complex, Navi Mumbai 400614, Maharashtra, India. These Terms apply to all of the following:
- lexblox.com: the LexBlox Global Academy website, your account, profile, subscriptions, course requests and community programmes;
- semester.lexblox.com: Semester Exams (LL.B. and B.L.S.);
- barexam.lexblox.com: Bar Exam (AIBE);
- judiciary.lexblox.com: Judiciary Prep;
- exammode.lexblox.com: Law Entrance (CLAT, AILET, MH-CET Law);
- pg.lexblox.com: PG Entrance (LL.M., UGC-NET Law, PhD);
- usbar.lexblox.com, sqe.lexblox.com and nca.lexblox.com: US Bar, UK SQE and Canada NCA preparation;
- Corporate & SEBI preparation, and any other course, app, event or programme offered under the LexBlox name,
including the installable LexBlox web apps, emails, notifications, seminars, webinars, competitions and community events (together, the Services).
2. Accepting these Terms
By creating an account, signing in, submitting a form, making a payment or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Services.
3. Eligibility
- You must be capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
- If you are under 18, you may use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or lawful guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for any purchase made.
- You must give accurate details (name, mobile number, university, college, course and semester) and keep them current.
4. Your account
- One person, one account. A subscription is personal to the account holder. Sharing a login, reselling access, or letting others use your account is not allowed.
- Your sign-in email is your identity. Subscriptions, payments and progress are tied to the email you register with; it cannot be transferred to another person or merged into another account.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us at once at support@lexblox.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
- How you sign in. You sign in with Google or with a one-time sign-in link sent to your email (any email, including a college email). We do not use passwords for the study portals, so there is no password to share or leak. Keep access to that email account secure; anyone who can open it can sign in as you.
Device limit: one phone and one computer
- A paid account may be open on one phone (tablets count as phones) and one computer at a time. Each device is registered to your account when you sign in.
- Signing in on a new phone or computer signs the previous one of the same kind out, and removes any study material saved on it for offline reading.
- Switching devices three times within 30 days is treated as account sharing: the account is paused for 24 hours and we are notified. A device you have not used for 14 days or more does not count when you replace it, so changing your phone is never penalised.
- Repeated sharing may lead to suspension or termination under section 12, without refund. If you think a pause was a mistake, write to support@lexblox.com; we can review it and clear your devices.
5. Subscriptions, prices and payment
- Plans, prices, duration and what each plan includes are shown on the relevant page before you pay. Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not see or store your card, UPI or bank credentials.
- Access is time-bound: it starts when the payment is confirmed and ends on the expiry date shown in your account. Renewing before expiry extends from the existing expiry date.
- Plans do not renew automatically. You will be reminded before expiry and may renew if you wish.
- Degree pass. A Degree pass gives access to every paper of one programme (B.L.S. LL.B. or LL.B.) for the length of that course plus six months. It is non-refundable in all circumstances once activated, is personal to the account that bought it, and cannot be transferred, sold, shared or moved to another person or email address. The device limit in section 4 applies to it in full. If the account is suspended or terminated for breach of these Terms, the Degree pass ends with it.
- Loyalty price. A student who has paid for the Semester portal before gets a lower price on semester and year plans, worked out automatically at checkout. It cannot be combined with other offers unless an offer says so.
- Every payment is verified with our payment partner before access is granted, and access is tied to the account that paid. Access bought on one account cannot be moved to another.
- Coupons and offers are subject to their stated conditions, cannot be exchanged for cash and may be withdrawn at any time.
- We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects a plan you have already paid for.
6. No refunds once a Service is availed
Access to digital content is delivered immediately on payment, so a Service is treated as availed as soon as access is granted to your account. Once availed, payments are not refundable, in whole or in part. The only exceptions, and how to raise them, are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Our content and your licence
- All notes, questions, answers, videos, designs, software, databases, trade marks and other material in the Services belong to Expert Jurist LLP or its licensors and are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957 and other laws.
- We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the content for your own study during your subscription.
- You must not copy, download (except where a download is offered), screenshot for distribution, scrape, record, sell, share on groups or channels, or create derivative material from the content, and must not attempt to bypass copy-protection or access controls.
- Statutes, judgments and university syllabi are referred to for study only; our explanations, arrangement and questions are our own work.
- Copying and sharing. When you copy text from a paid chapter, only a short extract (about 200 characters) is copied, with a link to the page. The share button shares that link, which opens a public summary; the full chapter opens only for a subscriber. Printing of paid chapters is disabled.
- Offline reading. Paid chapters may be saved on your registered device so you can read without a connection. They are stored in encrypted form, open only on that device, and stay readable offline for up to 7 days at a time; the device must then connect to the internet to renew. Saved chapters are removed when your subscription ends, when you sign out, or when the device is signed out under section 4.
- Your access to paid content ends on the expiry date of your subscription unless you renew. Some chapters, summaries and the free module are open to everyone without payment.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Services for any unlawful purpose; upload harmful code; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system; impersonate anyone; harass other users; post content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful or infringing; manipulate tests, leaderboards or certificates; or use automated tools to access the Services.
Forum posts, replies, feedback and suggestions
- The Speak-Up forum and the Feedback & suggestions box are open to registered members and are governed by the Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.
- You remain responsible for what you post. Posting under "A LexBlox student" hides your name from other members only; we keep a record of who posted and may disclose it where the law requires.
- You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, moderate and use your posts and suggestions to run and improve the Services. We may act on a suggestion without payment or credit.
- We may block, hide or restore a post, close a discussion, or pause a member's posting, at our discretion and without liability, including on a report by another member. Posts are not deleted from our records by these actions.
Points, levels, certificates and your law CV
- Points and levels reward study activity. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and never change a price. Levels may be used to decide priority for events, article slots and mentor sessions.
- Semester certificates are issued by our server only when your synced progress meets the published criteria (Completion, Merit, Distinction). A certificate records completion of a LexBlox study programme; it is not a degree, diploma or university qualification and must not be presented as one.
- Each certificate has a public verification page showing only what is printed on it (name, college, programme, semester, grade, date and ID). We may hold a request for review, correct a record, or revoke a certificate obtained by misuse, including falsified progress.
- Your law CV is your document. Entries marked as verified (certificates, events the office recorded you as attending) come from our records; everything else is your own statement and your responsibility.
9. Educational service; no legal advice; no affiliation
- The Services are educational. Nothing in them is legal advice or creates an advocate–client relationship. For a legal problem, consult a qualified advocate.
- LexBlox is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any university, the Bar Council of India, any State Bar Council, any High Court, public service commission, NLU consortium, the SRA, the NCA, any US state bar or any other examining body, unless we say so expressly.
- We work to keep content accurate and current, but laws, syllabi, exam patterns and dates change. Always confirm official requirements with the examining body. We do not guarantee any result, rank, admission or selection.
10. Coming-soon courses, requests and community programmes
- A course marked Beta or Coming soon may not yet be fully available. Submitting a course request or joining a waitlist creates no obligation on either side and involves no payment.
- Seminars, meet-ups, competitions, plantation drives and other community programmes are subject to their own announced terms, venues and capacity, and may be rescheduled or cancelled. Participants must follow the organisers' instructions and applicable law. Photographs and videos taken at events may be used by LexBlox to report on the event.
- A LexBlox member ID card identifies you as a community member only; it is not an educational qualification or an identity document.
11. Availability and changes to the Services
We aim for the Services to be available at all times but do not promise uninterrupted access; maintenance, updates or events beyond our control may interrupt them. We may improve, change or discontinue features. If we permanently discontinue a paid course before your access expires, we will offer an equivalent course or an extension of access.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account, without refund, for breach of these Terms (including account sharing, exceeding the device limit, content piracy or payment fraud), and may take legal action where appropriate. An automatic 24-hour pause under section 4 is a protective measure and does not extend your subscription. You may stop using the Services and ask us to delete your account at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or exam outcomes. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid Service is limited to the amount you paid for that Service in the six months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Expert Jurist LLP against claims and losses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.
15. Governing law, disputes and grievances
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please first write to our Grievance Officer (see the Grievance Redressal page); most issues are resolved quickly this way. Subject to that, the competent courts at Navi Mumbai / Thane, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be notified on the website or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
